THE LATEST (AS OF MAY 18th):
We changed the route! We're now riding along the CT river front area! Then just a short drive to Thomas Hooker. We made the change to make the ride more fun, relaxed, and safe! A great ride for experts and newbies alike. Slow pokes like me can do one loop, those looking to burn more calories can loop twice! Of if mountain bikes are more your thing, feel free to follow theblue trail here. Those that are very brave can attempt to finish off with a ride to the brewery, but we wouldn't recommend it.
We'll kick the ride off at the boat launch parking lot at river side park at 12:30pm. Expect the ride to wrap up in time for us to drive to Thomas Hooker by 2:00pm.
The route will be suited to road bikes (but mountain bikes are fine too) and riders of all skill levels.

DON'T WANT TO RIDE? COME OUT TO THE BREWERY ANYWAY AND ENJOY SOME GREAT BEER, FOOD, AND COMPANY! COME OUT AND GET YOUR GROWLERS FILLED THIS SUNDAY! BE SURE TO GET YOUR TRAIL BLAZER CLUB CARD!
Food, Beer, and Brewery Tours!
The ride will be absolutely free to ride, but if you intend on joining us for the brewery tour, craft beer tasting and food there will be a $17 charge at the door of Thomas Hooker. ($7 if you don't want to eat...)
Food will be provided by Connecticut's only gourmet grill cheese sandwich truck,
The Whey Station!
Menu: Choice of sandwich and either soup or chips
Bikes & Beers is a combined effort between the CT Beer Trail & Pedal Power, sponsored in part by
New England Brewing Company.

Comment by Joe Vellucci on March 20, 2012 at 8:17pm Is the route mapped out yet? How long of a ride is it going to be?
Comment by Kevin Townley on February 28, 2012 at 7:17pm I live way down here in Trumbull, so keep me in mind for any events down this way...
Comment by Bryon Turner on February 28, 2012 at 7:37am Kevin, we're trying to plan 1 or 2 rides in April, and we have a bunch scheduled through the Summer into early Fall... Not sure when you leave or how long you'll be gone (don't tell me here) but we may have a ride you can take part in. Regardless, I wish you and the rest of the folks a safe and uneventful deployment.
