RIDE IS STILL ON, BUT CHECK BACK IN THE MORNING FOR A WEATHER UPDATE!

We'll be leaving Pedal Power in Vernon at noon to begin the 20.1 mile long ride down to WillyBrew.  The route is on the Hop River rail-to-trail for the first 18.1 miles then we will ride into Willimantic on Route 66 for the last 2 miles.  If you're looking for a bit shorter ride try meeting us at either the Bolton Notch (around 12:30 PM) or Steele's Crossing (12:40 PM) parking lots to shave some miles off.  Mountain bikes are the best tool for the job, but a cross or hybrid bike would work too if the rider is comfortable on loose varied terrain.  We require that you wear a helmet if you want to participate. A lock is also strongly recommended as are cycling specific front and rear lights if you do plan on riding back. You should also bring along flat repair supplies for your personal use.  We can help you fix it if you need help, but you need to be responsible for the supplies.

We won't be organizing the ride back or departing at any specific time although we expect a lot of people to make the ride back as well.  In short, riders are responsible for getting themselves home.  Oh and did I mention Sunday is Stein Day at WilliBrew!
