CT Beer Trail

Middlebury is a great town to live in. not so much if you’re looking for a good beer on tap. Until now that is. We now have a new beer bar in Middlebury and I couldn’t be more excited. FINALLY I don’t have to run to New Haven or Hamden for a good pint. Well that is with your help.

The old Perrotti's West Street Pizza is now called Pies and Pints of Middlebury.

I ate there twice in the last 2 weeks and was very happy with the food and service. But my main reason for wanting to get people there is they put in a 12 tap system. They know very little about beer. PLEASE stop in and give them suggestions to any local craft beers. I guess my begging worked because they just tapped 668 from NEB. One of my favorites. They had 6 taps with crap on them and 6 that were okay. (Black IPA, IPA, Angry Orch Cider, Guinness). They are asking suggestions from the distributor/salesman. Reason I need beer drinkers to steer them in the right direction.

Thank you

Beers getting better every tap change. New food menu is stepping up as well. Def worth a stop by if you're in the neighborhood.

This Friday night 6-8 only at Pies & Pints of Middlebury: Tap take over by Calvary Brewing.

On tap last night Dog Fish Head 90 min. Stone IPA, 668 NEB, and more.

This is my hometown dive.

Throw out a list and i will talk to the owner and bartenders about addying some more taste to the selection.

Do they have live music?   I think they used to.

Thanks Alex. I talk to Theo every time I stop in. I live right down the road. Ask him who pushed him to get any beer worth drinking in there. ;-)

Today he posted on Facebook a keg of Gandhi BOT showed up. Game on. Also a Dog Fishhead Aprihop Ale.

Even though I had Bob at the new Middlebury wine shop get a case of BOT for me I live for good beers on tap. So if you want any BOT on tap get there before I drain it.

Check out the new Wine shop next to Middlebury Pizza. He (Bob) now has a good selection of beers. Bob's a very nice guy and will try to get you anything he can. Naugy was my go to store but since Terry is gone they are slipping.

Any other local places you can suggest for a good tap?

Oh and Bob from Middlebury Wine - he recommended Pinot Project to me and it's amazing! I know they do craft beer tastings .... on Tuesdays? Thursdays? I can't recall now but know it's starts with a "T." :)

No, They have been bringing in a dj. Its horrible when they do

Pies & Pints is really active on their Patch listing - you can review them there and even recommend beers - the owner always reads the comments!

5 GREAT IPA's on tap right now.

Dog Fish 60, 90, and 120 on tap now as well as NE BOT, Hoptical Illusion

Im going to feature these guys on my blog http://tapintoct.blogspot.com/ .  Also if you are looking for good beer bars, beer festivals or beer events in CT then check my blog out.  If you know of any places I should add to it then let me know.
