beer judge program

is any one in the group interested in putting fourth the effort to becoming a judge?

please let me know so we can get something started. need a minimum of five people.

Depending on the time commitment, I am interested. Need more details but the idea of slamming a gavel and condemning a bad beer to death appeals to me:)

I am a judge, and for those thinking about taking the exam, there is a new exam format, starting in the new year. The initial exam will only involve a tasting portion.

I think the first step prior to asking people to commit to taking the exam, will be an introduction of scoring beer by the BJCP guidelines, so people know what to expect and the commitment involved. Perhaps this is something we could do at the next meeting (maybe we can discuss at the steering committee meeting what this will involve.

Mike I sent you a friend request with my e-mail maybe we can discuss study classes, I was part of a successful one many years ago, and a non-successful one, points etc.

Sounds like a good idea Doug. Is there a night next week that is good for a committee meeting? Wednesday - Friday works best for me.
