2lbs 2row
1lb Flaked wheat
1lb Choc wheat
.5 Caramel
6lbs wheat lme
1oz Summit (60)
.5oz Cascade (10) and Flame out
.5oz Centennial (10) and Flame out
154F mash 60min sparge with 170f
Let know know what you think.

Comment by Stomp N Crush on April 12, 2012 at 9:07am Hi John,
That much wheat in a porter is inappropriate for the style. For a partial mash try: 6.6lbs Golden light LME, 2 lbs 2 row, 1 lb, crystal 10L, .5 lb chocolate, 0.5 lb black patent, 0.5 lb munich malt. That will get you a gravity of 1.065 or 6.7% abv. English hops are more traditional, EKG, Fuggle, Willamette, Northern brewer. Shoot for about 40 IBUs, mash as you said. Choose a british ale yeast and go to it. -Al
Comment by John LeBlanc on April 12, 2012 at 9:56am I was jamming in Ingredients I had on hand and looking on the net for a recipe and found a wheat heavy robust porter. I thought it was a bit much at like 65 IBUs. I guess i will just make a wheat something-ish and pick up ingredients for the porter do you deliver? ...Just kidding. See ya Soon Thanks again I never followed styles (more ways than one) from the beginning so this is new to me but trying to learn. -John
sorry for taking so long to get back. as far as style guide lines go al is right some of that stuff has to go. BUT if you want to give it a try as is you should. the only thing is with that much wheat in it its going to be very foamy
