A Sixpoint Love Letter Of Sorts

A couple of weeks ago, I had made my first craftbeer purchase since moving to Baltimore. It was an exciting moment! A new city, with new beer availability, in a new store. Wandering the aisles, I saw a small end display of a brewery I have been chomping at the bit to try, Brooklyn own, Sixpoint. (Continue reading on Hipster Brewfus)See More

#17 Widmer Brothers Lemongrass Wheat (2011)

I don't make a habit of buying the same bottle twice. But I had broken that habit when I spotted this bottle of Widmer Brothers Lemongrass Wheat Ale at my then local beer stop. It was something I had picked on a whim about a year ago. I remember taking a picture of it. I remember really enjoying it. I remember thinking "If I had a blog, I would write all about this."Well guess what? Now I have a blog, and the best part about that is…See More

Hey guys! Long time no blog!It has been about a month since my last post, and a lot has happened!I had my interview with Flying Dog and it was incredible! Best interview I had ever had. But alas, things didn't work out. That's OK though, I'm still super flattered I even got the chance to interview with themI DID get a job with an engineering company, as a Structural Steel Designer!I had an INCREDIBLE going away party hosted by Mark at Relic Brewing in Plainville, CtI moved to Baltimore!…See More

Beers of Days Gone Past Part II

I personally like the idea of a short blurb about different beers I found notable, but couldn't be bothered to do a review of. My first attempt doesn't seem so wildly popular, with only 18 views. But that's ok, because I stand behind it! Lets see what I've been too lazy to write about! Continue reading on…See More

#15 Bells Brewery Expedition Stout

**This beer was provided to me by one of my most excellent readers**High rating from the user community on Beer Advocate...Low rating from "The Bros."Bells Brewery Expedition Stout knocked me on my ass. It was a complete one-two punch I was not prepared for. I've made it known before that stouts were never really quite my thing. But, one of the biggest things I wanted to learn from this blog, was to expand my horizons and try…See More

#14 Harpoon 100 Barrel Series #41 Catamount Maple Wheat

Ugh.This was a beer I toyed with the idea of purchasing for a little while. The name alone was enough to whet my appetite and get me excited. But then I hit the Internet to see what it thought, and it told me to stay away. Specifically, Kate over at beer411. But I’m a stubborn jack-ass, so when I saw it for $5, I just HAD to pick it up. And then I put it in the fridge and every week I would tell myself…See More

"Nice post. I read the write-up they had in the Hartford Advocate and it peaked my curiosity. I really like the notion of the "Nano Brewery". Relic will surely be my first stop at the Craft beer and Chili challenge!"

#13 Relic Brewery

First off, I apologize for no posts in nearly two weeks! I had severe technical difficulties! But now, with a new laptop in hand, and the contents of my old laptop in my possession once again, I bring you a review post I was SO excited for!Relic freaking Brewery! They have been getting a lot of exposure lately, and to me, its more than well deserved. As it stands in my eyes, Relic makes some of the best beers in Connecticut.…See More

The Other Thing I Love!

My love for beer is true. But If it weren't for my love and passion of music, I don't know if I would completely understand how to devote my time and patience into developing this "hobby."I love music. And it's a love I've been cultivating since I was about 7 years old. The first album I ever fell in love with was Blood Sugar Sex Magik by the almighty Red…See More
