If You Like Fresh Beer & Enjoy Good Food...
The Willimantic Brewing Co./Main Street Café is a living landmark restaurant and pub brewery located in Willimantic, in the heart of rural northeastern Connecticut.
Fresh Beer & a Whole Lot More...
We brew over a dozen different handcrafted styles of beer each month. In addition to our own beers, we have over 20 different craft microbrews on tap, many from New England. We also serve a variety of bottled domestic and imported beers, cocktails and a changing wine list.
Unique Atmosphere...We‘re housed in an historic granite and limestone 1909 U.S. Post Office Building. When used as a post office our pub was the customer lobby and the private dining room housed the postmaster‘s office. Our dining room, from where you can view our 7 barrel brewery, was the post office work room.
Extensive Menu...
Our post office-themed menu is overflowing with mouth watering selections, featuring over 100 items. From award-winning wings to steaks, pasta, seafood, burgers and salads, there is sure to be something to please.
Special Events & Entertainment...We host an array of special events including beer dinners, beer tastings, theme parties and movie nights. Plus, we have NTN Interactive Video available.
On behalf of our entire staff, we invite you to stop by and hope you share our excitement for our living landmark restaurant and pub brewery. Let‘s share a brew together!
Diane James-Hart said… I have been here several times for dinner, and loved the atmosphere. One of the coolest places in Connecticut!
Recently took bike up to VT. Hit 7 breweries. One small one stood out a bit. Super clean. The Alchemist. Heddy Topper was all they had. Grapefruit finish with a pine nose. Any ideas to replicate if you have even tried it.

One of the best brew pubs ever. You will always find a home brewer sitting at the bar to strike up a conversation with. Personally I brew all grain so its a great place to get ideas for a new batch..........
Joe Fuller said… I checked out Willimantic Brewing for the first time on February 12 and was quite impressed. Good food, nice atmosphere, friendly service, and some great beer. I'm still thinking about the decadent S.W.A.K. Stout.
I noticed both your Winter Beer Dinner and Spring Beer Tasting fall on Mondays. Unfortunately, I can't make it out there during the week. Do you ever host similar events on weekends, or is that not practical with the restaurant? Anyway, I'll be back soon. Keep up the good work!
