- In an era of extreme everything, the Charter Oak Tree quietly stands apart as a patriotic symbol of strength and truth. That’s why we chose Connecticut’s beloved tree to be the symbol of our dedication to brewing the most
honest, freshest and un-hyped beer possible.
Our ales are handcrafted from 100% natural ingredients: select malted barley, choice hops, special yeast, and using only the purest water for a unique and delicious taste. We never use any adjuncts or preservatives.
Each varietal is carefully brewed to be the ideal balance
of flavors for that style beer.
Our beer is entertaining and enriching. For the enjoyment of our beer lovers, we have extensively portrayed the true events of the Charter Oak legend. Each variety and seasonal ale will share different parts and characters of this enduring story.

Connecticut's newest Brewery in planning
This year, P. Scott Vallely, an entrepreneur that operating businesses for over 30 years, and decided sell his paper company and focus on creating and growing a micro craft brewery around the Southwestern, Connecticut area and market innovative beers for the Northeast. Vallely has always had a passion and commitment to brewing only the finest beer and strive to make our beers visible and available to all beer drinkers. A response to a recent interview sums up his position "I am excited to finally follow my dreams!"
Our first style to be introduced to Connecticut beer drinkers is our 1687 Brown Ale and will be released in June Our initial plan is to offer 4 year round flagship brands, IPA, Pale Ale, Brown Ale, and an ESB (Extra Special Bitter) as well as four more complex and robust seasonal brews – one for each season of the year. All will only use the freshest barley, choice hops, and brew with only the purest of water.
