So after months and months of planning... it all came down to this past Sunday. The stage was set... the field was locked. Out of the new craze that is Pumpkin Beer, I found several individuals that were willing to embark on a journey that not many would DARE try.
...oh yes, we dared.
Including myself, I found 8 adventurous people, willing to put…

Earlier this month (the 4th) Eli Cannon's Tap Room in Middletown welcomed Boulder Beer Company as their featured beer. There were four Boulder beers at the weekly beer tasting: Hazed and Infused; Cold Hop IPA; Hoopla IPA; and Mojo IPA. Boulder specializes in pale ales, and the expertise was well appreciated by the usually large Tuesday night crowd, even though the Hazed and Infused keg wasn't…

Folks, we’re trying to get the best things available. While we have access to Ruby St Brewing all grain system (and the most competitive prices, just ask), it is a bit large for our humble floorspace. Oh, we’re still looking into that, but for now I’d like to share what we’ve squeezed in.

In a couple of minutes, I’ll be headed off to Pennsylvania to visit a number of breweries and check out their equipment. This is one of the biggest decisions I can make in the young life of Half Full Brewery and I cannot express how appreciative I am of everyone who has been willing to help me out with this process. It really says a lot about the craft beer industry when…

For a while now, I’ve been a part of the Connecticut Beer Trail, an online group dedicated to craft beer and local breweries, brewpubs, restaurants, and other beer-related events.
The beer trail’s been part of the reason I’ve been so supportive of Connecticut breweries in my pairing (the other reason being that the beer is just downright delicious).
I wanted to share this new community and get its name out there to show just how quickly craft…

Just ordered our pilot brewery from MoreBeer! Pro, should hopefully be doing test batches by the end of the year! If you are interested in participating in our not-so-focused focus group tasting sessions at the brewery in Stamford (location TBD) in the spring, where will be soliciting your input on our beers in exchange for info on where you like to live in the moment and look forward to more, send a quick email with "Put me on the list" in the subject to info@halffullbrewery.com…

In the tradition of history’s great explorers, the folks from the CT Beer Trail challenge you to explore Conn. this Columbus Day weekend and discover one of the state’s brewpubs.
“Connecticut has some top notch brewpubs,” said Bryon Turner, CT Beer Trail founder. “While they are scattered across the state, all of them offer hand crafted beer and great food and are worth the trip.”
The list of brewpubs associated with the CT Beer Trail boasts locations that…

Hey CT!
We just wanted to tell you about 2 new brews we have on tap starting just a couple days ago. We are now offering our Beautiful Dreamer for a limited run (only 30 kegs!). This is our take on the classic Octoberfests you will no doubt be tasting during the fall. One of our regulars, David, just got back from Germany for a "boys' week" sipping on all kinds of Bavarian goodies. As soon as he got home and gave the Beautiful Dreamer a shot, his thumbs went straight up! So…
