Hanging on to Fall Fun: Looking Forward to Three Events

The temperature is dropping (well kinda), the leaves are falling, and people are fear-mongering about a monster snow storm on the way. The temptation now is to pack it in: stock up on beer and warm clothes and hibernate for the upcoming winter; but I say there's fun left to be had! Taking a look ahead I've picked out three events that will warm your chill-bitten bones, and help you see that winter may not be that bad after all.

There are two Halloween events that I want to…

Why I Sometimes Like Being With My Beer Instead of My Man

I have loved beer from an early age. And I am not suggesting that beer comes first in my marriage, but there are times (and I am certain that my husband would agree) when I would rather hold my beer than him.

1) My beer can't talk. Oh, it says plenty, but it only says what I want to hear. I am…

#17 Widmer Brothers Lemongrass Wheat (2011)

I don't make a habit of buying the same bottle twice. But I had broken that habit when I spotted this bottle of Widmer Brothers Lemongrass Wheat Ale at my then local beer stop. It was something I had picked on a whim about a year ago. I remember taking a picture of it. I remember really enjoying it. I remember thinking "If I had a blog, I would write all about this."

Well guess what? Now I…

  • I had…

Beers of Days Gone Past Part II

I personally like the idea of a short blurb about different beers I found notable, but couldn't be bothered to do a review of. My first attempt doesn't seem so wildly popular, with only 18 views. But that's ok, because I stand behind it! Lets see what I've been too lazy to write about!
