Backstage Home Brew Competition - Second Round, 8/9‏

Hey home brewers!!

Thank you for all of your patience. We had a blast with everyone a few months ago and hope that you can join us for our next round!! So without further adieu, here we go!!!

The Second Round of the Home Brew Competition will be held on Thursday, August 9 at Backstage. This is an invitation for all 12 of our Finalists to enter (1) offering... of ANY STYLE. Our esteemed judging panel will select the TOP 5 BEERS out of this field of 12. These 5 individuals will then move onto our Third and FINAL Round which will be held sometime in October. It has been determined that the beer style for the final round will be strictly a Vegetable / Fruit beer. So, plan out your entries wisely for the Second Round!!

(Note: You CAN enter a Fruit / Vegetable beer for the Second Round... and if selected in the Top 5, you will be allowed to enter that same beer in the Final Round.)

BUT WAIT... THERE'S MORE!!!

If you know of anyone that missed out on the Top 12 or missed the First Round event all together... they are invited to enter our OPEN Division. Consider it like a "Play-In" Game for the NCAA Tournament. Out of these entries (again, open to ANY Style), our judges will select ONE WINNER. This individual will get the opportunity to compete against the Top 5 Brewers in the Third and Final Round !!!

Again, we are asking for (2) 12 oz bottles for each home brew entry.

So here's a recap:

Drop-off home brew entries: Wednesday, August 8th btw 6pm-8pm

Second Round Judging: Thursday, August 9th @ 6pm

Second Round style: All Styles

Final Round date: October TBD

Final Round style: Vegetable / Fruit

In addition, our good friend Marty from Sierra Nevada will also be joining us again!! That's right... Sierra Nevada Tap Takeover!! Last time we had some GREAT things on draft, and this time is no different!! Check out this lineup:
