CT Beer Trail

Tis the season...for beer! Forget about the eggnog, I am looking forward to unique beers and beer related gifts that give me even more reason to celebrate. So Santa, if you are listening, here are a few things at the top of my Christmas list to make it even more merry!

Beer Brewing Kits

For the adventurer looking for something new and different, go for the beer brewing kits! It's fun, easy to learn and they will LOVE having a hobby that everyone enjoys trying. Inventive and creative, these kits are exciting (especially if you have kids) and they can set it right up in the garage. A little “get-away” right outside.

Customized Bottles

Who wouldn't love their very own bottles that read things like: Bob's Best Brew or Alan's Awesome Ale? Personalized beer bottles are the way to go for the more seasoned beer brewer. This “encouragement” could easily get the giver all types of new brews to try throughout the year.

Bottle Openers

Another inexpensive and good gift for the beer lover? A traveling beer bottle opener. In different shapes and sizes, you could have these engraved with everything from monograms for the sophisticated beer drinker to brass knuckle beer openers for those who hang with a slightly rougher crowd.

I am assembling two Beer themed gift baskets for a Christmas party I go to each year where the baskets are dominated by wine. I have not decided what to put in other than beer yet, but I am working on a mix of sweet and savory treats and a Christmas ornament themed for the organization that is having the party.
