FINAL RESULTS: Sierra Nevada Home Brew Finals, 10/25

8 months ago we had 39 home brew entries... Last Thursday, we finally settled the score.  

 
Here are you FINAL RESULTS:
 
1st Place/Best of Show: Jody Rockhill, Cucumber Saison - Score: 41
2nd Place: Dan Roy, English Pumpkin Ale - Score: 36
3rd Place: Ed Silva, Robust Coconut Porter - Score: 34.5
4th: Mike Patient, Rose Beer - Score: 33
5th: Tim Phelps, Raspberry Wheat - Score: 27.5
6th: Health Gelinas, Apricot Blonde Ale - Score: 24.5
 
Alternate: Ryan Fitzpatrick, Blueberry Ale - Score: 28
 
Special thanks to Marty Juliano for sharing some of the fantastic things that Sierra Nevada has to offer and for the awesome prizes, Our judges: Steve RaimondiJason McClellanRich Loomis and Mark Sigman for lending us their sophisticated palettes, and lastly to the CT Beer Trail for the continued promotion of great events that keep CT on the forefront of all things craft beer (and home brew!).
 
And thanks to the family and friends that support our habits!!  Without them a lot of this would NOT be possible.  Believe it or not, we are already in talks for what we would like to do next year.  We have a LOT of great ideas to make this event even bigger and BETTER!!  So keep on home brewin' and we hope to see you all soon!
And mark your calendars for THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 15th for the FOUNDERS Tap Takeover including the elusive Breakfast Stout!!

Looks like cucumber saison is getting popular! I wish I could have tasted it because it seems to be a tasty combination. It made the top 25 in 2012. I think we can give full credit to the Sierra Nevada Homebrew Competition ;-)
