We decided to brine our turkey last night using a modified brine recipe, the secret ingredient is... No, it's not love... You guessed it, it's craft beer! It's a little too late to brine your turkey, but you may want to file this away and give it a try for Christmas. We'll let you know how the turkey came out later today... UPDATE! It was great!
Combine the apple cider, brown sugar, salt, peppercorns, bay leaves, cinnamon, and cloves in a large pot or bowl. Stir to dissolve the sugar and salt. Combine the mixture with the beer, and then place the turkey in the brine. we used a brining bag. Brine the bird over night, and then get up way too early and get it ready for the oven. Enjoy!
